Peter Liu, CPA, CA

Peter is a senior partner at MYSL with over 15 years of experience in public accounting and tax. He works with high net worth clients and private enterprises from the Chinese-Canadian community and specializes in succession planning, trust and estate planning, CRA tax audits and disputes, and purchase and sale of businesses.

Peter is fluent in English and Mandarin. He helps his clients to understand the complex tax and accounting environment in Canada by looking at different ways to protect assets and minimize tax liabilities.

In addition to his Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation, Peter completed the in-depth tax certificate in 2016, and he is in his final year of obtaining his Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation. He is knowledgeable with Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Peter believes in supporting the community and volunteers his time with several organizations. He is a co-founder of the Young Elite Vancouver Business Association, a non-profit organization that helps young business professionals to develop their network and skills. He is also a Director at the Tri-City Chinese Community Society and a member of the Canadian Community Service Association.

Peter is a graduate of the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia and enjoys golfing in his spare time.
