Joanny Lu, CPA, CA

Joanny is a partner at MYSL with over 15 years of experience in tax and accounting. Joanny is a tax specialist and obtained her CICA In-Depth Tax certification in 2017. The In-Depth Tax program is a comprehensive three-year program specialized in high level tax planning for business owners and high net worth individual. She is currently enrolled in the Trust and Estate Practitioner program and expected to complete in 2022.

As a tax specialist, Joanny works with high net worth individuals and private business owners. For high net worth individuals, Joanny helps with trust and estate planning, retirement planning and inter-generation asset transfer, personal tax matters, and CRA disputes and audits.

For her corporate clients, Joanny helps with corporate re-organizations, business succession plans, and shareholder remuneration strategies.

Joanny believes in helping people to increase their financial understanding and knowledge. Since 2016, she has volunteered with the CPA Financial Literacy program and hosted and delivered numerous sessions to the general public, including tailored sessions for entrepreneurs, new immigrants, seniors, and students.

She is fluent in Mandarin and English and graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting) and a Bachelor of Arts (Economics).
